This post is a review of a no pull harness and leash that we recently found. We saw this gentleman demonstrating how this harness worked on several dogs and I was so intrigued. I stood watching in awe as dog after dog seemed to be completely transformed while using the no pull harness. I was pulled from my awed trance by my children saying “mommy we are freeeeezing!” so I grabbed the guys business card and ran our kiddos to the car to warm up.

We ordered the purple harness and security leash but we had questions about the size. Bruce suggested we bring her to him so he could size her properly, apparently Coco is a weird size. Bruce is awesome!

The no pull dog harness I couldn't stop thinking about

I got to the car and told Joe all about the no pull harness I saw and he was interested. For weeks I kept thinking about this no pull harness and wondering if it would help us. All I could think about is how not a single one of those dogs could get out of that harness.

Walk Me Pull ease

Our dog Coco is a wonderful dog but she can get out of ANY harness we put on her! I’m not sure how she does it, but she just folds up and they fall right off of her. She then slowly walks away with her head down hoping we won’t see her, lol. “Not so fast slippery dog!”  We manage to get her back into them and she looks at us like “you’ve got to be kidding me, you know I can get out of this, right?”

Harness

This harness is not made like other harnesses, it is rope -like, think ski rope, and doesn’t look much like a harness when it’s not on the dog. The harness has two loops on either end, a head loop and a body loop. The head loop is the smaller of the two. To put it on your dog, you grab the two loops and place it over your dogs head then step their feet through the body loop and tighten the toggle on the dogs back, attach the security leash and you’re off! The magic, if you can imagine, comes when your dog wants to go in the opposite direction of you, as your dog attempts to pull if you give an upward tug on the harness it squeezes the dogs ribs, similar to when someone pokes you in the ribs, and the dog doesn’t like that therefore will quickly fall back in line with you. The key is to keep the harness loose enough to not be a constant poke yet tight enough that they feel it when you give a little lift. It really is a genius invention, especially if your dog is a regular Houdini!

This is the security leash that we purchased to go with the harness, it is almost like a bungee cord, it has a give so that your arm isn’t pulled if your dog jumps or lunges, All of our kids can easily walk the dog now, even our 5 year old! As long as we have a dog this is the leash and harness system we will buy! Get yours today at www.walkmepullease.com, you will be glad you did!
