My husband and I travel several times per year and when we fly we prefer to take carry on luggage instead of checked luggage. Our carry on luggage is rather small and I was having a hard time fitting all of my things in my suitcase. So I went online and searched “how to pack more in your suitcase” and found the best travel product ever!
Make more in your suitcase with packing cubes!!!
If you are wondering how to pack more in your suitcase then this is the post you’ve been looking for! The answer is packing cubes. Whether you use a carry on or checked luggage, packing cubes will revolutionize your traveling! Seriously! You need the packing cubes!
Sizing Visual
I purchased a set that comes with a large, medium, small and three small rectangular cubes. The large cube is the width of Joe’s suit jacket but a little less than half of the length.
I used a ruler to give you a great sizing visual. Even though the packing cubes look small they hold a lot of clothing. We pack one with our business attire and one with our travel/city clothes plus one each for our undergarments.
All packed up
I want to show you how much I packed into each cube for this trip. Hopefully these pictures will give you a better idea of how to pack more in your suitcase using the packing cubes.
In the largest cube I put my jumper, dress, skirt, blouse and my jacket. Now, I have never packed this cube completely full and therefore you would think my clothes would wrinkle, however they never really have!
Joe packed his large cube with his suit jacket, pants and suit shirt in addition to three other button up shirts and several pairs of jeans (jeans not pictured)
In this cube he has another button up shirt, two ties, one under shirt and several pairs of under ware folded together plus his belt.
Here’s where you start to see how much you can get in one cube. He had this cube pretty full!
Here I have the medium cube filled with five tops, one dress, two pairs of blue jeans and two pairs of socks. I still could have put in a few more things but then the next cube wouldn’t have much in it so I decided to even out the bags.
This cube is the perfect size for my under garments! I filled it with three bras, ten pairs of panties, two night gowns and another pair of socks.
We used one packing cube to put some of our toiletries in that needed to go in our checked luggage. It wasn’t full but it did the job!
You need packing cubes!
