Oh so summery and delicious! Hawaiian Teriyaki Pineapple bowls pleases all of my crew and can be cooked in the skillet or on the grill. This is such an easy meal especially when you use the grill and rice maker. Cooking on the grill is a perfect way to keep from heating up the house plus clean up is a breeze!

To cook this on the grill
If you prefer to cook your chicken on the grill then leave each piece whole. You will want to marinate your chicken overnight in half of the sauce. After you cook your chicken on the grill let it rest. As the chicken rests put the rice into your pineapple bowls. When the chicken is done resting cut it into bite size pieces then toss with the other half of the sauce. Top the pineapple bowls with the chicken and serve.
Make this recipe Candida friendly
Keep in mind this recipe is not a candida diet recipe. This recipe is for after you have completed the die off and are adding foods back into your diet. If you are new to the candida diet then you need to know that you cannot eat pineapple on this diet. To make this recipe candida friendly you substitute coconut aminos for soy sauce and brown rice instead of white.
Make ahead
Homemade Teriyaki Pineapple bowls are a perfect make ahead recipe. I like to make a double batch of the sauce so that I can make a freezer meal out of it. You obviously cannot freeze the pineapple boats but you can freeze the chicken. When I make this meal I pour some of the sauce into a gallon freezer bag and add in the chicken. This makes a quick dinner meal for when you have a busy day.
