The Dallas Children’s Theatre put on the best Eric Carle play with their rendition of ” The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. The class Caroline took at co-op was all about bugs and we finished it off with that very book so, of course I took Caroline! The Dallas Children’s Theatre did an amazing job of bringing Eric Carle’s book to the stage, it was bright, colorful, fun and engaging, we enjoyed every minute of it!
I cannot even begin to describe it all to you, words alone will never do. The colors used made you feel as if you were in a water color painting. It was like walking through an Eric Carle book, beautiful and ethereal . They didn’t allow pictures until the very end so this is all we were able to get. The actors and actresses do a wonderful job of keeping the children’s attention.
I wish I could have taken more pictures because their puppets are amazing! They had props and puppets that light up, several sea horses on one handle so that one person could manage them all. It exceeded my expectations greatly. There are so many amazing puppets that I can’t describe them all, you have to go see for yourself!
Sweet friends enjoying the show together, we were sad that it was over. Thank you Dallas Children’s Theatre for bringing “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle to life for us! We were very sad to hear of the recent passing of Eric Carle, we loved reading his books and know you will too.
